Top of the World
A friend asked me to paint this scene which was nothing other than a pleasure. It is looking down over Swaledale on the left and Arkangarthdale straight on. I was considering a title to do with the openness of the location or the movement of the clouds but decided on 'Top of the World' as it seemed appropriate and also encapsulated the feeling I have when there.
The view from further down the hill is the subject of 'Down into Swaledale'.
