This has to be one of the loveliest locations in all of England. I love the way the village sits beside the Swale and nestles into the hillside. It seems to me that the old settlements of the Dales are of the earth itself. The movement of the shadows on the hills always attracts me and other paintings I have done of Muker and the area include 'Hidden Treasures' and 'Sparkling Dale'.
