This was a commission I was asked to paint by one of the daughters of Mr & Mrs Whitear. I hope something of the bond they had comes across. The setting is significant for Mr Whitear's love of gardening. Apart from their characterful faces I particularly enjoyed painting the paisley patterned dress!
